This past weekend, ANZA-IJSL's first two entries into the highly competitive ESPzen Leagues kicked off in their first friendly matches. The ANZA-IJSL U-18 Young Lions played against Prestige Marine Services, a Division 3 Team, and came out on top in a convincing 3-0 win. This won our ANZA Young Lions a place in Division 4 of the Sunday League, a very formidable position for a first time out. Our ANZA Mens Team, the Lions, met a teams with the dubious name of The Usual Suspects, a Division 5 Team. On their first time out, and with very limited preparation time, the Lions went down 3-6 and were placed in the ESPzen Sunday League's Division 10. Congratulations to both teams on their successful formation. We expect to see big results from both sides during the coming season.
